I don’t actually have a Rolex but if I did have one, this guy couldn’t have it. I am talking about WILEY he is a British Grime artist who has been making beats for a while now. He claims himself to being the first ever ‘Grime’ artist. By Now you will be asking ‘What is Grime?’ Well Grime is a sub-genre of Urban Music which first emerged in London, England in the early 2000s, primarily a development of, UK Garage, Dancehall, Electronica and Hip Hop. Some Grime artists you might have heard of are Dizzee Rascal, Lady Sovereign and The Streets. Now Wiley’s new single is called Wearing My Rolex and has so far peaked at No.4 on the UK Singles Chart. I like the track so have a listen below and tell me what you think of it.
