A Boy, is the fourth and final single from G-Dragon's first studio album Heartbreaker. The music video for the track was released yesterday, it took three months to make, transforming G-Dragon into 2D form.
This song is my favoutie track of the album so it's cool that's it finally getting a release. Check it out below.

F(x)
F(x)

Known as 'Asia's Pop Group', F(x) is slowly wining over the young girls that rule the K-Pop world, one sing-a-long song at a time. F(x) is a young 5-member girl group who debuted in September with their first single, La-Cha-Ta. Now the girls are releasing their first mini-album titled Chu which is also the name of the new single. A very similar style to La-cha-Ta, Chu is very much a song made for 12year olds, but is still catching the eye of the 'olds' because it's so catchy. Check out Chu bellow.

Brown Eyed Girls

With one of the biggest hits of this years summer, Brown Eyed Girls captivated the K-Pop world with their hypnotic hip swaying. These four women are back with a repackaged album and a new hit single. The track is called SIGN and has a pretty heavy music video to go with it. SIGN doesn't reach the heights of Abracadabra but is certainly very catchy. Check out SIGN below.

Battle Of The Boy Bands

BEAST And MBLAQ
BEAST And MBLAQ

In the world K-Pop there is so much happening it's hard to keep up, so today's K-pop is a double dose. While girl groups have been all the rage for most of '09, their are a few boy bands still doing okay. Two new groups, BEAST and MBLAQ, have made their debut's in the last few weeks and are now competing against each other for the spotlight. I am not a massive 'fan' of either of these groups, compared to others, but I do believe they are doing what they do WELL. Whilst you are comparing who is best out of the two, remember we are talking K-Pop and boy bands, so lower your standards before listening to their debut singles below.

Ivy
Ivy

Ivy is the stage name for K-Pop diva, Park Eunhye. After a long hiatus from the music industry because of a sex scandal, which the media fabricated, Ivy is back. Her first single of her new album is a big sounding dance track called Touch Me. This very nineties sounding song, reminds me of something I have heard before, but I don't care because I really like this track. There is no hidding that Ivy and this song is all about selling sex, with a good portion of the 3:20min video being crutch shots, very Madonna esque. This is a very new track so expect it to be hitting the top of the charts in the coming weeks. Check out Touch Me below.

09' The Year Of Girl Groups

October 29th 2009 00:57
Girls Generation
The Biggest Girl Group In K-Pop, Girls Generation

There is no hiding from the fact that almost half of the content on this website has become K-Pop related. When I type that out, I am slightly ashamed of myself, never the less their are a good portion of you readers who come here just for the K-pop, so that's good enough justification for me. Yesterday I came across a video compilation on YouTube of a few of the biggest Girl Group songs of 09. It made me realise that Girl Groups have dominated this year in music, in the world of Korean Pop music. This mash-up video only shows about half of the big Girl Groups, but still gives you the idea of how much they have dominated the charts. K-Pop fans stay tuned in November when we count down the biggest K-pop songs of the year. If you are interested check out the mash-up below.

The proclaimed King of K-pop , G-Dragon is back with his third and final single from his debut solo work Heartbreaker. The third single is Butterfly, a slow 'love song' that has proved to be popular with fans. The video for said song is an animated love story, that is very reminiscent of a Gorillaz, music video. Check out Butterfly below.

Back into the world of K-Pop today. SHInee is a five-member boy band who debuted to massive sucsess last year capturing the hearts of most Korean female teenagers. Well the boys are back with their 4th realese since their debut, titled, 2009 Year of Us. The lead single from the album is called Ring Ding Dong and no, the song doesn't have anything to do with Christmas or The Crazy Frog. While these guys might look like any other boy band, with the bad hair cuts and stupid pose's, they actually have talent and they are the only boy band I 'Sort Of Like'. Check out Ring Ding Dong below.

Breathe

G-Dragon
G-Dragon

First he was a Heartbreaker and now he can't breathe! Man G-Dragon has got some serious problems. Yes we are back in the world of K-pop. It was only a few days ago I posted his first single of his new album Heartbreaker, now the 'king of K-pop' is back with the a new video for his second single Breathe. G- Dragons music is very so-so for me, he produces very catchy, big sounding tracks, but their is something about it which feels like too much of a ego trip. He is like the Korean Kanye West for me and I am still on the fence. Check out the somewhat familiar looking Breathe vid below.

UPDATE: Since posting I have gone and listened to G-Dragon's full album and I am no longer on the fence. His album tracks are impressive, a really interesting mix of styles of music, much better than his singles. If you are interested you can check out some of the album tracks below the Breathe video.
