Really I can sum it up in two words, Loving Ladyhawke. If you don't know who ladyhawke is then pay attention! Ladyhawke is the alter ego of solo musician Phillipa "Pip" Brown, formerly of the Wellington band Two Lane Blacktop and the Sydney duo Teenager with Nick Littlemore of PNAU. Noted as being influenced by 1980s music, Ladyhawke is best known for the 2008 single "Paris Is Burning", which she wrote after a visit to Paris. Her debut album was released just a couple of weeks ago and it is awesome. The latest single of her album is called 'Dusk Til Dawn' i will admit it's not for everyone but she certainly has found a solid fan base. Aussie 'Super Group' Sneaky Sound System released their new album on Saturday and i was there to grab my copy...... The new album is titled '2', it feature 10 new tracks and Stays true to Sneaky style. After my first quick listen i was a little bit worried that the album didn't live up to the last, with the overall sound of the album not as up-beat. Still this album is above average and has some true gems like 'I Want Everything', this track was written for Kylie Minogue's Last Album but was not chosen by the record exec. Which is great because it suits Sneaky great, it is a killer dance/pop track and i think it will be really popular. The album also features the hit single 'Kansas City' and future Hit's 'When We Were Young' and 'I Just Don't Want To Be Loved'.

Sneaky is touring at the moment so If you are lucky enough to go and catch them, you can check out their new material live or go down and buy their new album '2' It's in stores now. Sorry to disappoint you if you thought i had good news about Paris Hilton dying or something, instead i want to introduce you to a cool new song by New Zealand Electro Rock Pop band and new comers on the scene, Ladyhawke. Now residing in London, Ladyhawke are releasing their first EP which features the new single Paris Is Burning. I don't mind this track it's growing on me. MAYBE BEING ON IDOL DOESN’T RUIN YOUR CHANCE OF A MUSIC CAREER!

I have always thought that the ‘Idol’ television series has been a bore, more importantly as we all know the music that the contestants produce is always crap. I think the reason that the music is always bad is the record company pushing the winner into a box that they probably don’t fit into. Now 7 seasons on I think I have been proved wrong. Lisa Mitchell is a 17 year-old singer songwriter from country New South Wales who was apart of the show 2 or 3 seasons ago. She has defied the trend and had has made the music that she enjoys and it shows. Lisa has released two EP’s now the latest of which features one of my new favourite tracks called Neopolitan Dreams. The track has caught the alternative market that she was looking for and I would be surprised if her album she is currently working on finds its niche and does well. Eminem’s record label has confirmed that the rapper is back in the recording studio working on a new album after a four year hiatus, with reports from a fellow rapper saying there’s “some amazing stuff” being recorded. “Em is excited,” label mate Bishop Lamont tells Entertainment Weekly. “He’s been quiet too long and he’s got a lot to get off his chest.” The 35-year-old superstar took time out of the spotlight to deal with the loss of his close friend and D12 band member Proof, who died in a shooting in a Detroit bar in 2006. “He went through what he had to go through,” Lamont continues. “And now he’s been able to take all the pain and stress and put it out in his music.” Oh No! This mean we will have to listen to another catchy song about him ‘Cleaning Out His Closet’ and how much he hates his ex wife…. Gripping….. AC/DC have been in a studio in Vancouver recording a brand new album. It's been eight years since their last album.... And thirty three years since they put out their debut, High Voltage. Rumours say the album may be titled Black Ice or Runaway Train but nothing's been confirmed. It has been confirmed that the band has an exclusive deal with Wal-Mart in the US so the album will only be sold there when it's released later this year. There are also rumours that AC/DC the musical is in the pipeline! Sounds interesting doesn’t it! As soon as we have new music we will show you so stay tuned and check out a classic below. Britney Spears will spend the summer working on her new album. The 'Toxic' singer has been "having fun" in the recording studio and is delighted with the songs she has created so far. Britney's manager Larry Rudolph said: "She is spending her summer in the recording studio, working on a brand new album. She's working with a team of top-notch producers and songwriters, and we're very excited about what she's accomplished so far". No album release date has been confirmed yet. The 38-year-old singer – who released her 11th studio album 'E=MC2’ earlier this year – has been offered a £50 million deal to perform every night for three years at Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. A source told America’s Star magazine: 'Mariah is one of the most popular performers around. She could easily become the queen of the Las Vegas strip.' If the deal goes ahead, the 'Touch My Body’ star would be following in the footsteps of Celine Dion, Cher, Sir Elton John and Bette Midler, who have all completed residencies in the gambling capital. Kings Of Leon have a new album due in September. Frontman Caleb Followill told NME that they had no plans for a new release this year. After months of intense touring they were hoping to have some time off. But then they got a call offering them a headline spot at Glastonbury - and thought they owed it to their fans to have some new songs. Titled Only By The Night, the new album will be the fourth from the band. No official single have been released yet but some rumoured tracks include Manhattan and Crawl. How bizarre, Jessica Simpson has turned country. So how series is this? I would say, Pretty strategic. Country music still sells. Pop doesn’t. And Jess has a life-style to maintain. “I’m not what everybody thinks that I am. Believe it or not, I’m a simple country girl. I might buy expensive shoes,” she blabs in a statement, “But, I’m definitely a simple country girl and this album will hopefully give people a sense of who Jessica is again."I like it how she talks about herself in the third person. In September, she will release the `Do You Know` album that is blatantly aimed at grabbing revenue from a market that still spends money on CDs. It’s pretty much impossible to take Jess seriously as a country artist, but will the country fans?. Simpson has received some heavy endorsement, the biggest coming from Dolly Parton who wrote the title track for Simpson. Cold War Kids `Robbers and Cowards` came out in 2006 so they are overdue for a new album. Wait no longer, kiddies. `Loyalty to Loyalty` is the name of the new album. The California 4-piece placed 13 new songs on the album coming out through Shock in September. These guys are also touring in Aus soon so check out their website for details. It seems these days that all you need to make a record, is a reality show and that’s just what Ali Lohan has done. Encase the name doesn’t ring a bell (…. and really it shouldn’t), Ali Lohan is the 14 year old little sister of Lindsay Lohan who you might know from bad movies and a so far limited singing career. Ali and her family are the stars of a reality TV series that was made for publicity for Ali’s singing career. The show features, Dina Ali’s mum, an A-list wannabe and stage mum extraudinaire and Cody her little brother who couldn’t give a crap about his sisters singing career. Ali’s music can be described as over produced pop but we wouldn’t expect any more from the Lohan’s. Have a listen to Ali’s first single called ‘All The Way Around’ and let us know what you think. Proving they’re as innovative as ever, Double Bubble is the sixth Album from UK based Rob Birch and Nick Hallam, and is set to add to their long list of awards, nominations and multi-selling albums. The first track of the album is called Gringo and it’s a Club goers dream. I have been a fan of these guys for many years now but this new record, I don’t think is their best work. Think Amy Winehouse meets hip-hop, crossed with jazz, rock and funk. Add a few sprinkles of seventies soul and you’ve got Paris Wells' debut album Keep It. Thankfully these genres don’t appear all on the same track, but the mismatched, unruly song list leaves you unsettled and wondering what will happen next. Paris is from Melbourne and she supported Justin Timberlake on his tour of Australia late last year. New Zealand rockers The Datsuns are in the final stages of making their 4th studio album. For those who don’t know, they have established themselves a following in the alternative scene around the world over the past 8 years. Cooking Vinyl will release the yet to be titled new album in Europe in September. About the new album, guitarist Christian Livingstone says, “We recorded an album in Sweden - we went there because the people are very good-looking over there. That’s very important when you’re recording an album - you must surround yourself with good-looking people. We wrote it in Germany and went to Sweden and recorded it. It’s got a whole heap of different stuff. It’s not a record where every song sounds the same. There’s a psychedelic track, something quite epic, a punk song and a couple of pop songs - so it all comes under the umbrella of rock ’n’ roll. We’ve got short attention spans so we like to try different things.” I like his thinking, we are looking forward to hearing it.
