DRESDEN DOLLS
May 14th 2008 20:54
The Dresden Dolls are an American musical duo from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 2001, the group consists of Amanda Palmer and Brian Viglione. The two describe their style as "Brechtian punk cabaret", a phrase invented by Palmer because she was "terrified" that the press would invent a name that "would involve the word gothic," and are part of an underground dark cabaret movement that started gaining momentum in the early 1990s. These guys have a big fan base and creditability in the alternative music scene. They are working on a new album and the first track of the new album is called Night Reconnaissance. Also check out some of their classics Coin operated boy and Sing. Fan of Mystromusic.com? Then subscribe to the blog or visit our myspace www.myspace.com/mystro_music.
