In the world K-Pop there is so much happening it's hard to keep up, so today's K-pop is a double dose. While girl groups have been all the rage for most of '09, their are a few boy bands still doing okay. Two new groups, BEAST and MBLAQ, have made their debut's in the last few weeks and are now competing against each other for the spotlight. I am not a massive 'fan' of either of these groups, compared to others, but I do believe they are doing what they do WELL. Whilst you are comparing who is best out of the two, remember we are talking K-Pop and boy bands, so lower your standards before listening to their debut singles below.

MC Mong is a South Korean hip hop / pop artist who is known for his comic disposition and his upbeat songs. He had one of the biggest songs of the summer and now MC Mong is back with his second single, Horror Show, of his latest album. Staying true to his off-beat style, Mong has made an "over cameoed" music video for his latest hit, so check it out below.

Dizzee Rascal is what I call a Yo-Yo Artist, someone who I go through periods of liking and disliking. Currently I am in a Semi-Dislike state, that said I am posting his new single Holiday. I am not a huge fan of the lyrics or Dizzee himself in this song, the reason I am posting it is because I am impressed with the preduction of the track. The song was created by the mastermind that is Calvin Harris, Holiday is a high energy dance track for which Calvin has become famous for. As I said the lyrics are average and so is the video but watch it and just listen to the production of the track, especially from 2:30 onwards. 4 Words-REACH FOR THE LAZERS!

They were the New Kids On The Block and they sold 50 million albums, had nine top 10 hits beginning with "Please Don't Go Girl" in 1988, and saw their faces smile on everything from T-shirts to lunchboxes. Well, the door slams shut on everything eventually, and after living in the global glare for several years, the vocal quintet - Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight, Danny Wood, and Joey McIntyre - threw in the NKOTB-endorsed towel following the disappointing sales of 1994's Face the Music. Now the groups is back together and they are releasing a new album titled Back on the Block. Can’t people come up with better album titles? Eminem’s record label has confirmed that the rapper is back in the recording studio working on a new album after a four year hiatus, with reports from a fellow rapper saying there’s “some amazing stuff” being recorded. “Em is excited,” label mate Bishop Lamont tells Entertainment Weekly. “He’s been quiet too long and he’s got a lot to get off his chest.” The 35-year-old superstar took time out of the spotlight to deal with the loss of his close friend and D12 band member Proof, who died in a shooting in a Detroit bar in 2006. “He went through what he had to go through,” Lamont continues. “And now he’s been able to take all the pain and stress and put it out in his music.” Oh No! How bizarre, Jessica Simpson has turned country. So how series is this? I would say, Pretty strategic. Country music still sells. Pop doesn’t. And Jess has a life-style to maintain. “I’m not what everybody thinks that I am. Believe it or not, I’m a simple country girl. I might buy expensive shoes,” she blabs in a statement, “But, I’m definitely a simple country girl and this album will hopefully give people a sense of who Jessica is again."I like it how she talks about herself in the third person. In September, she will release the `Do You Know` album that is blatantly aimed at grabbing revenue from a market that still spends money on CDs. It’s pretty much impossible to take Jess seriously as a country artist, but will the country fans?. Simpson has received some heavy endorsement, the biggest coming from Dolly Parton who wrote the title track for Simpson. Ali Lohan.... She looks more like 30 than 14...

It seems these days that all you need to make a record, is a reality show and that’s just what Ali Lohan has done. Encase the name doesn’t ring a bell (…. and really it shouldn’t), Ali Lohan is the 14 year old little sister of Lindsay Lohan who you might know from bad movies and a so far limited singing career. Ali and her family are the stars of a reality TV series that was made for publicity for Ali’s singing career. The show features, Dina Ali’s mum, an A-list wannabe and stage mum extraudinaire and Cody her little brother who couldn’t give a crap about his sisters singing career. Ali’s music can be described as over produced pop but we wouldn’t expect any more from the Lohan’s. Have a listen to Ali’s first single called ‘All The Way Around’ and let us know what you think. SNOOP DOGG TO REINVENT JOHNNY CASH

Snoop Dogg is one of the artists working on transforming the first Johnny Cash album into at 21st century rap record. Snoop is remixing Cash’s ‘I Walk The Line’ from The Sun Sessions amongst other tracks. The album will be called Johnny Cash Remixed and is being driven by Cash’s son, John Carter Cash. “My father made his stead by defying the expected and accepted way of things” John Carter Cash said in a statement. “He set the standard at the same time. He would have loved this remix record. While it stays true to the original recordings, this CD touches on undiscovered ground. This is what my father was about: staying true to tradition while creating groundbreaking new music.” That's for sure it will be groundbreaking probably not in a good way . I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but there seems to be trend of bad Disney pop music on the radio airwaves. Primarily in America but it is now spreading around the globe at a pace that is way too fast. Some of the acts that are from the Disney Brand include The Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and the big one Miley Cyrus. Now The Jonas Brothers are three real life brothers who like all these acts make pop/rocks songs made for 13 year old girls. I understand that… but man we need to start educating kids at a younger age about music. As far as the music side of things go the only reason these artists are getting played on radio is because there is hype surrounding them, the actual music they make would not succeed if they didn’t have a Disney show and a lot of publicity behind them. The scary thing is that this music, which is targeted at teenagers, is crossing over into the 20/30 something’s, who should know better. Each to their own I just don’t want the mainstream market heading back toward dumbed down pop music when we were making so much progress with introducing more alternative music into mainstream listening. It's Just So Wrong... Why Do People Like These Videos... Their Just Stupid

Alex Gaudino is an Italian DJ, who generally fits into the genre of Italio and who I know as the guy who makes really annoying and popular dance music. You might remember the name from that really annoying song from last year called Destination Calabria which was played so much on the radio that I decided to take a sabbatical from the radio for several months. Don’t worry the new single is bad but I don’t think that it will get quite the same radio airplay of its predecessor. After the success of Cupid’s Chokehold, Gym Class Heroes are back with a brand new album and a fresh track to take over the airwaves. Now I am not a fan of the heroes but I did like their song from 05 called Cupids chokehold ,well actually…. I don’t know if I like it but it was damn catchy. Their new album we be called The Quilt and the first single of the album is called Cookie Jar. Now after listening to an interview with Travis McCoy who is the lead singer of the group, the new song is about sleeping with lots of women. Wow a brand new topic for a song..... no one has ever written a song about sleeping with women.

Ciara Princess Harris, professionally known as Ciara, is an American Singer, songwriter, record producer, dancer, model, music video director, and actress. Over the last couple of years she has established herself as a successful R&B Pop/ Hip-Hop artist. I have never been that bigger fan, though in a moment of weakness, I got into her song, 1,2 Step back in 2004 which was of her first album Goodies. Her new album is due in October and will be called Fantasy Ride.

Police say they have received no complaints of assault after singer Amy Crackhouse appeared to punch a fan during her performance at Glastonbury. A spokesman at the festival said there would subsequently be no investigation. Founder Michael Eavis defended the star, saying she had appeared to lash out after being touched by a fan. He added that Winehouse had asked if she could headline next year's music event, and he described her show on Saturday as a "triumph". Yeah right let me just say it was NOT a Triumph. For half the songs she didn’t sing the words and a lot of the crowd were left very unhappy. Personally I think she is a shit performer and I don’t know why people keep booking her to do shows! When the title of my post is The Stupidity of the human race what else could I be talking about except Big Brother! As I turned on the television this week, I decided to let myself watch 5 minutes of Big Brother, now for which I regret. I feel like I have lost half of my intelligence by just watching, Thank god I still have enough to know not to watch it again. This year like every year the pre-season advertising suggested that maybe there would be some different, more interesting people in the house from previous years and for some reason I believed them. After watching my 5 minutes of some blonde ditz insisting she wasn’t dumb while we watched her crawling around like a dog and fetching a ball. I thought to myself what has the human race come to? Not that just some Bogan was acting like a dog but that I was sitting there watching it. What happened to the society where we all had intelligent conversations with each other? Now I am sounding like an old fart. Here is another OH Dear! Moment Corey Worthington otherwise known as ‘Naughty Corey’ is not only going into the Big Brother house but he is releasing a Single. THE LOGIES, ALWAYS AN EMBARRASSMENT

This Year's Nominees

It’s that time of the year again when all the D-list celebrities get to dress up and pretend that they are famous and act like idiots, it’s Logies Time. So the nominees were announced the week before last and all the usual suspects are up for gongs including Lisa McCune, Rove and this year a few ABC Presenters got nominated like Adam Hills and The Genius himself Chris Lilley. Now some people might ask why are they embarrassing? Well let me tell you. Besides all the Home and Away actors getting so drunk they can’t stand up on stage and the really bad jokes done by either Bert Newton or some comedian that’s not funny. The real reason is the American C-list celebrities who are paid to come out here and are told that the Logies is our version of the Emmy’s then they turn up and get so drunk that they get on stage and say ‘What l am I doing here and who the hell are you people’ while Jules Lund tries to crack bad jokes about the TV show they star in. The Logies air Sunday week so if you can put up with all the ‘Cringe Moments’ you will see Westlife ( make sure you change channels while they are on) and Chris Liley perform.
